ToggleIntroduction: Ramadan and Quran
Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, is a special time for Muslims around the world. It is a month of fasting, prayer, and deep connection with Allah. The Quran plays a vital role in guiding believers during Ramadan, helping them grow spiritually and seek Allah’s mercy and blessings.
Ramadan and Quran: Strengthening Your Faith
As the Quran itself tells us,
“Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guide for humanity with clear proofs of guidance and the decisive authority…” (Quran, 2:185)
The Quran was revealed in the month of Ramadan as a source of guidance for all humanity. It teaches us the difference between right and wrong and encourages us to strengthen our faith. Ramadan is a time to engage deeply with the Quran by reading, reflecting, and applying its teachings in daily life.

“And recite the Quran with measured recitation.” (Quran, 73:4)

Ramadan and Quran: Fasting(A Path to Taqwa)
“O believers! Fasting is prescribed for you—as it was for those before you—so perhaps you will become mindful ˹of Allah˺.” (Quran, 2:183)
Fasting in Ramadan is not just about abstaining from food and drink; it is a way to develop Taqwa (God-consciousness). The Quran reminds us that fasting helps us stay mindful of Allah’s commands, practice self-control, and feel empathy for those in need.
“For men and women who fast, for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who remember Allah much—for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.” (Quran, 33:35)
