The reason most families search for this

Why Families Choose a Female Quran Teacher

Searching for an online female Quran teacher is rarely about the syllabus. It is about who your daughter, your wife or you yourself will be sitting with for half an hour, several times a week, reading out loud and making mistakes.

Comfort and modesty

Many sisters and parents prefer a female teacher for reasons of hayaa and personal comfort. Learning with another woman makes it easier to speak up, repeat a verse and ask the same question twice without feeling awkward.

Better for young girls

Girls tend to settle faster with a female teacher, and mothers are usually happier leaving a daughter in a one to one class when the teacher is a woman. Parents are always welcome to sit in on the lesson.

No embarrassment about your level

Plenty of adults can pray but cannot read the Mushaf, and that is a difficult thing to admit to a stranger. Ustadha Fatima teaches complete beginners regularly and starts wherever you actually are, not where you feel you should be.

She understands your household

She speaks English and Urdu, and teaches Muslim families in the UK, USA, Australia and the UAE, so she understands the school runs, work shifts and cultural context that shape when your family can actually study.

Your teacher

Meet Ustadha Fatima, Your Female Quran Teacher

Ustadha Fatima teaches every lesson at Hidayah Quran personally. She is a Hafiza, certified in Tajweed, and has spent over a decade teaching the Quran online to Muslim families abroad, so she is used to teaching through a screen rather than treating it as a compromise.

Her approach is patient and unhurried. Students are corrected, not criticised, and a verse is repeated as many times as it takes for the pronunciation to be right.

Qualifications and experience

  • Hafiza, she has memorised the entire Quran
  • Certified in Tajweed from a recognised Islamic institution in Pakistan
  • Over 10 years of experience teaching the Quran online
  • Teaches children from age 4 through to adults of any age
  • Fluent in English and Urdu, so she can explain a rule in whichever language lands best
  • Teaches on the traditional Ahl-e-Sunnah methodology

Who Our Female Quran Teacher Teaches

Lessons are booked per student, so the content and the pace are set by whoever is in front of the screen.

Sisters and ladies

Students, working professionals, mothers and grandmothers. Whether you want to fix your recitation, finally learn Tajweed properly or read the Quran for the very first time, the lesson is built around your level.

Girls and young children

From age 4 upwards, using repetition, visual aids and short sessions that match a young attention span. This is the most common reason parents come to us: they want a female Quran teacher for their daughter.

New Muslims and reverts

If you have recently taken your Shahada, lessons begin at absolute zero with the Arabic letters, the sounds and the duas you need for Salah. Nothing is assumed and no question is too basic.

Adults who never learnt

Many Muslims grew up without a proper Quran education and now feel it is too late. It is not. Adult beginners are taught with the same patience as children, just at an adult pace.

Mothers learning with their children

Some mothers book a slot alongside their child so they can revise the same lesson at home during the week. It is a good way to keep everyone moving at once.

Boys and men in the household

Boys are welcome and are taught by the same female teacher. For adult men we recommend a male teacher, so please tell us on WhatsApp and we will advise you honestly.

If you are booking for a child, our Quran classes for kids page sets out the age-by-age learning path in more detail.

How the 1-on-1 Online Lessons Work

No classroom, no travelling to a madrassa in the evening and no waiting for your turn. Here is exactly what a lesson looks like.

The platform

Choose Zoom, a WhatsApp video call or Google Meet. Zoom is best for Tajweed because screen sharing lets your teacher point at the exact word being corrected. WhatsApp suits families who would rather not install anything new.

You need a phone, tablet or laptop and a stable internet connection. Nothing else.

Lesson length and frequency

Adults usually take a full 60-minute session. Young children start with 20 to 30 minutes, which suits their attention span far better, and older children take 30 to 45 minutes.

Most students book 2, 3 or 5 sessions a week. Lesson notes and homework are sent after each class.

Scheduling in your timezone

Your teacher is based in Pakistan (PKT), 5 hours ahead of GMT and 4 hours ahead of BST in summer. You give us your city, we send back the available slots already converted into your local time.

Need to move a lesson? Reschedule with 24 hours notice.

Inside the lesson

You read out loud, your teacher listens and corrects the pronunciation as it happens, then sets the portion to practise before the next class. Progress is tracked lesson by lesson so nobody loses their place.

Parents are welcome to sit in, especially for younger children.

Timezone coverage

We regularly teach students in these four countries, so the awkward hours are already worked out.

If you searched locally

Looking for a Female Quran Teacher Near Me?

If you have been searching for a female Quran teacher near me and coming up short, you are not doing it wrong. In most towns there simply is not a qualified female teacher with a free slot at the hour your family can actually study. Online 1-on-1 lessons remove the postcode from the decision entirely.

Your area stops limiting the shortlist

Searching locally means choosing between whoever happens to live nearby. Every lesson here is taught by the same qualified female teacher, a Hafiza who is Tajweed qualified, whether you are in a city or a village.

Times a real week can absorb

After-school slots from 4pm, evening slots from 5pm to 10pm GMT and weekend sessions, booked as the same repeating slot each week so nobody has to renegotiate the timetable every few days.

Closer to a tutor at home than you think

Families searching for a female Quran tutor at home usually want privacy, comfort and no travelling in the dark. A 1-on-1 video lesson gives all three, and nobody unfamiliar has to come into the house.

To be clear about what we are not: we teach entirely online and we do not send a teacher to your door. If you would like the full comparison of an online teacher against a local madrasah or a home tutor, along with the checks worth making before you book anybody, read our guide to finding a Quran teacher near you.

1-on-1 Female Teacher vs Group Class vs Self-Study App

All three can teach you something. Only one of them can hear you mispronounce a letter and fix it before the habit sets in.

Comparison of a 1-on-1 female Quran teacher, a group Quran class and a self-study Quran app
What matters1-on-1 female teacher (Hidayah Quran)Group Quran classSelf-study app

Mistakes correctedImmediately, letter by letterSometimes, if the teacher noticesNot at all, or automated guesses

Pace of learningSet to your level, revision whenever you need itSet to the average of the groupYou set it, with nobody checking accuracy

A group class is a reasonable option if budget is the only consideration, and an app is useful for revision between lessons. Neither can assess Makharij, which is the part almost every self-taught reader gets wrong.

  1. 1

    Message us on WhatsApp

Send one message with the student's age, roughly where they are up to (letters, reading, Tajweed, Hifz) and your city or timezone. That is all we need to get started.

  2. 2

    Pick a free trial slot

We reply with the times your female Quran teacher has free, converted into your local time. Choose one and we send a Zoom, WhatsApp or Google Meet link. No card details, no payment.

  3. 3

    Attend the trial, then decide
