You want a subject other than the Quran
Spoken Arabic, French, GCSE maths, exam coaching: none of that is what we do. A general marketplace covers far more ground than a Quran only academy ever will.
You need unusual hours, or want to switch teachers
Our teacher works UK friendly hours, and there is only one of her. A worldwide pool covers more of the clock and makes changing tutor easy.
You want a formal Ijazah with a chain of narration
This is a specific credential and not every teacher or academy can issue one. Ask any provider, including us, directly and in writing before you pay for anything.

How to Check Any Quran Teacher Is Qualified, Wherever You Hire Them
This checklist is deliberately platform neutral. Use it on us, on a marketplace tutor, or on the teacher your cousin recommended. Good teachers welcome it.
Tajweed, in specifics rather than slogans
Every teaching profile says Tajweed. Ask which rules the teacher can explain and correct: the makharij or articulation points of the letters, noon saakin and tanween, the madd lengths, qalqalah. Then ask where they studied and for how long.
Hafiz or Hafiza status, asked plainly
Ask whether the teacher has memorised the complete Quran and when they finished. It matters most for Hifz, where you want someone who has been through the process themselves. Our teacher is a Hafiza.
Online teaching experience, not just teaching experience
Teaching the Quran in a room and teaching it down a video call are different skills. Ask how long they have taught online, how they correct pronunciation when the audio is imperfect, and how they hold a child's attention on a screen.
Take the trial lesson, then judge it properly
Watch for three things: did the teacher listen to the student recite more than they talked, were corrections specific rather than vague, and did you finish knowing what the next lesson covers. Check too that they can explain in the language the student thinks in.
